When and Where?
There’s a beautiful little golf course in the town of Port Rowan called Stark’s Golf Course, Through no nepotism at all, the venue has given us an extremely competitive price, and will host both the ceremony and reception.
As golf course weddings often go, the ceremony will be outside. Dress code is rather minimal; don’t wear a white dress, look hot for the photos. Consider an umbrella for rain or shine. We have a large tent booked for dinner and reception, which would also hold the ceremony if needed.
Getting to Port Rowan is easy enough, about 1hr from London, 2hrs from Toronto. There’s a number of AirBNBs available in the area, or hotels in nearby Simcoe or Tillsonburg. More on that below.
It was a difficult decision, but we have decided the wedding will be an 18+ event. This was a safety-minded decision, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may cause.
The Big Show
Final itinerary is TBD, but you can expect a short n’ sweet late-afternoon ceremony, dinner around 6 and festivities to follow.
A long-standing tradition at the course’s tournaments has been the steak dinner, cooked to perfection by the best chef around: you. This is a special element we wanted to incorporate into our wedding, as it has always been a wonderful experience for us. Of course, Designated Grill Dads will be available to prepare your dinner for you if desired. Please let us know if dietary restrictions include steak or anything else, as alternatives will be made available.
During dinner and the accompanying awkward and/or tear-jerking speeches, the bars will be ready to serve a selection of beer and spirits, on us.
Thanks to alcohol, we should all be thoroughly ready to kick off the reception with dancing, games, and just general merriment following dinner, around 8PM.
Accommodations
For those not in the area, a number of AirBNBs are available local to Port Rowan and Long Point.

We’ll have a shuttle bus making rounds prior to the ceremony and throughout the evening, as well as designated drivers available when necessary. If you plan to drink, we have a ride for you. If you plan to drive under the influence, we’d rather you not attend.
